HDRi

High Dynamic Range Imaging a.k.a HDRi

In computer graphics and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI) is a set of techniques that allow a far greater dynamic range of exposures (i.e. a large range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging techniques.

The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to the deepest shadows.

HDRI was originally developed for use with purely computer-generated images. Later, methods were developed to produce a high dynamic range image from a set of photos taken with a range of exposures. With the rising popularity of digital cameras and easy to use desktop software, the term "HDR" is now popularly used[1] to refer to the process of tone mapping together with bracketed exposures of normal digital images, giving the end result a high, often exaggerated dynamic range. This composite technique is different from, and generally of lower quality than, the production of an image from a single exposure of a sensor that has a native high dynamic range. Tone mapping is also used to display HDR images on devices with a low native dynamic range, such as a computer screen.
Recently, CMOS image sensor producers have begun to release sensors with HDR up to 110 dB for security cameras.[2]

PHOTOMATIX

entri kali ini, i nak review ckitlah ttg lensa idaman i.. ntah bila jak dpt bli lensa ni.. hm.. so expensive but the quality is "kaw2 holiau".. lensa idaman ku.. Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM..
why i "mengidam" this legandary L lense? check this out.
The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Lens is an impressively high performing zoom lens. I regard it as one of the best general purpose lenses available and for the same reasons, it is one of the most-professionally-used Canon lenses. The 24-70L is as good as it gets in this focal length range.The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM Lens is a very sharp lens - few zoom lenses reach this level of sharpness. The 24-70 L is sharp in the center at f/2.8 at all focal lengths and performs very well in the corners. Some corner softness is visible at the wide end of the focal length range and more softness is apparent in the 50-70mm corners. As usual, stopping down (selecting a narrower aperture) to f/5.6 makes a big difference in the longer focal length corners.
The wide open 24mm corners are most-affected by vignetting. Vignetting is very well controlled, but apparent in the corners at f/2.8 at 24mm on a full frame body. Vignetting improves as the focal length increases and the aperture is narrowed. At comparable apertures, the 24-70 L shows less vignetting than the also-excellent Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens - a typically-expected result when comparing a fast lens to a slower lens.
Like most 24-xx zoom lenses, the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8
L USM Lens shows some barrel distortion on the wide end. More specifically, a bulge in the middle of the frame. Barrel distortion disappears around 35mm. A very slight pincushion distortion begins at 50mm and becomes moderate by 70mm.
Color, contrast and saturation are excellent. CA (Chromatic Aberration) is very well controlled - especially for a zoom lens. The wide 8-blade aperture produces a nice quality background blur and a nice amount of it.
Prime lenses (fixed focal length lenses) are often compared favorably to the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8
L USM Lens. They are generally less expensive, smaller, lighter, faster (aperture) and very sharp. My personal preference is for zoom lenses for my photography applications in this focal length range. To me personally, the ability to change framing instantly far outweighs the slight image quality advantages fixed focal length lenses offer over the 24-70 L.
I'm often asked - can images shot with a consumer zoom lens be post-processed to result in images similar to 24-70
L images? The answer is: you can adjust contrast and saturation, but you cannot add missing detail. And, color can be very difficult to match later. So, using a better lens will usually result in better post-processed images. Most primes and L lenses are noticeably better than consumer zooms.
Image quality is not the only pro-grade feature of the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8
L USM Lens. Excellent AF is part of the equation. A Ring USM (Ultrasonic Motor) AF system delivers quiet,fast and accurate autofocus. The 24-70 L's f/2.8 aperture enables the enhanced-sensitivity of many Canon EOS DSLR body's AF points. As usual for a Ring USM AF system, FTM (Full-Time Manual) focusing is enabled. The 24-70 L does not extend with focus and the 77mm filter ring

Aperture
Bukaan lubang di dalam lensa anda yang di mana ianya membenarkan kemasukkan cahaya sebelum ianya dirakamkan oleh "sensor" atau filem. semakin besar bukaan lubang aperture, maka semakin banyak cahaya masuk (dedahan) kepada "sensor" atau filem. Selalunya aperture akan dirujuk sebagai "F"
contohnya, F1.8 bukaan aperture besar dan manakala F22 adalah bukaan aperture kecil. Ingat semakin kebelakang bukaan aperture adalah besar dan semakin kedepan nombor bukaan aperture adalah mengecil.

Shutter Speed
Shutter Speed adalah kelajuan bukaan shutter yang mengawal kemasukkan cahaya sebelum ianya dirakam oleh "sensor" ataupun filem. Kelajuan Shutter bekerjasama dengan aperture di mana fungsi shutter ini lebih kepada memberi dedahan cahaya kepada "sensor" ataupun filem. Semakin laju shutter (contohnya 1/500) dengan kombinasi apeture yang betul, membolehkan imej dibekukan jika sesuatu objek itu bergerak. dan sebaliknya jika shutter diperlahankan contohnya (10") maka objek yang diambil akan menjadi kabur.

Exposure
Jumlah dedahan cahaya yang diterima oleh "sensor" atau filem. Jika sesuatu gambar diambil dengan jumlah dedahan cahaya yang berlebihan, maka Overexposed (terlebih dedahan) akan terjadi kepada imej yang diambil. sebaliknya jika kurang dedahan terjadilah Underexpose (kurang dedahan)

ISO / ASA
penanda kepekaaan sesuatu "sensor" atau filem terhadap cahaya. Semakin tinggi nilai ISO / ASA, (contohnya 1600) maka semakin sensitif "sensor" atau filem itu kepada cahaya. Selalunya, ISO / ASA yang tinggi amat berguna dalam keadaan cahaya rendah tetapi ISO / ASA yang tinggi selalunya akan menghasilkan "noise" (titik-titik kasar (grain) ) di dalam sesebuah imej yang diambil.

Bokeh
Bokeh adalah kawasan kabur di belakang subjek yang diambil. Bokeh selalunya akan menonjolkan sesebuah subjek itu nampak cantik kerana bokeh telah mengasingkan subjek daripada latar. untuk menghasilkan bokeh yang mantap, lensa F2.8 kebawah boleh memberikan kesan bokeh yang menarik. selain daripada itu, lensa tele boleh menghasilkan kesan bokeh.

STOP
stop dalam fotografi bermaksud pergerakan satu unit sama ada menaik atau menurun terhadap skala Shutter-speed, Aperture, ISO atau Exposure.
Shutter-speed = 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500 (500-250 dikira sebagai 1 stop, 250 ke 125 1 stop dan etc)
Aperture = f2.8, f4, f5.6, f8, f11, f16, f22
ISO = 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600
Exposure = pergerakan mana-mana satu dari senarai di atas.

DOF (Depth of Field)
Depth of Field atau kedalaman medan, adalah sesuatu kawasan di dalam imej yang anda ambil, yang nampak terang dan jelas. tidak kira dibelakang atau di depan subjek.semakin besar Apertur, F2.8, F1.8, F1.4 maka, kedalaman medan semakin cetek dan semakin mengecil apertur F16, F32, maka kedalaman medan akan menjadi dalam.

Vignetting adalah daerah gelap, di empat penjuru imej yang diambil, ianya terjadi kerana beberapa faktor spt, lensa, penggunaan "hood" pada hujung kamera, penggunaan filter dan ataupun kerana ianya dicipta menggunakan perisian untuk menampak seni/kecantikan sesebuah imej.

my name is Azizul Haqqim Bin Radzuan Khan Bin Marzukie Khan Bin Shaikh Amir Khan..hee. born in Hospital Umum Sarawak on 4th July 1988.. erm... menetap di SARATOK,, my dad actually work at Jbtn.Bomba dan Penyelamat Saratok, n mymom at SK.Orang Kaya Temenggong Tandok, Saratok.. i ada 3 orang adik.. Affrin Adzuan Khan, Purti Allysha Khan, n Amirah Bazla Khan..i miss both of them.. em.. kelulusan STPM di SMK Bahasa Malaysia Saratok 2007, n now at SMK Labuan as a computer technician..hehehe.. dah setaun di negeri orang.. well. i learn more experience at W.P Labuan.. hmmmm...
about photography.,, i love it.. my first dslr is sony Alpha 330..hehehe.. bought it on dec2009... hehe.. pastu upgrade... ke canon eos500d.. ehehe.. now, im whitesiders...hehehhe.. i love potraiture, scenery, n event.. hehehhee.. for me, photography is a art without pen,brush,water-color.. biar lensaku bercerita..heheheh
